Privacy Policy

BLASTR ("we", "us", or "our") is a video scheduling and cross-posting platform that lets creators publish short-form video content to multiple social media platforms simultaneously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use BLASTR at blastr.social.

Information We Collect

• Account information — your email address and password (hashed) when you register.
• OAuth tokens — access tokens from platforms you connect (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), used solely to publish content on your behalf.
• Video content — videos you upload are temporarily stored on our servers during processing, then uploaded to your chosen platforms. Copies may be retained in cloud storage for your library history.
• Platform profile data — display name, username, and profile picture fetched from connected platforms for display within the app.
• Usage data — basic server logs (IP address, request timestamps) for security and debugging.

How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and operate your BLASTR account.
• To publish videos to the social media platforms you connect, on your instruction.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset) via our email provider.
• To process subscription payments via Stripe.
• To maintain your video library and posting history within the app.

How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share, transfer, or disclose it to third parties for advertising or any purpose unrelated to operating BLASTR. We share the limited categories of data described below only with the following recipients, and only as needed to run the Service:

• The social platforms you choose to publish to — when you instruct BLASTR to publish a post, we transmit that video, its caption, and the associated post settings to the platform(s) you selected (YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and/or TikTok) using the access tokens you authorized. This happens only on your explicit instruction, and only to the destination(s) you pick.
• DigitalOcean (infrastructure sub-processor) — hosts our servers and database, and stores your uploaded video files in DigitalOcean Spaces object storage. See the DigitalOcean Privacy Policy.
• Stripe (payment processor) — receives the billing details needed to process your subscription payments. BLASTR does not receive or store your full card number. See the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• Resend (email provider) — receives your email address to deliver transactional emails such as account confirmation and password resets. See the Resend Privacy Policy.
• Legal & safety — we may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of BLASTR, our users, or the public.
• Business transfer — if BLASTR is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction; we will notify you of any such change.

Google User Data — Sharing & Limited Use

When you connect your YouTube account, BLASTR accesses Google user data (your YouTube channel name and profile, and an OAuth token that lets us upload videos on your behalf) solely to publish the videos you choose to your own YouTube channel and to display your connected account within the app.

We do not share, transfer, or disclose your Google user data to any third party except (a) to our infrastructure sub-processor DigitalOcean, which stores the data on our behalf to operate the Service, and (b) when required by law. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, and do not use it to train generalized/AI models. BLASTR's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can revoke BLASTR's access to your Google data at any time from the Connections screen in BLASTR or from your Google Account permissions page.

Data Storage & Security

Your account data is stored in a secure database on our servers hosted on DigitalOcean. Video files are stored in DigitalOcean Spaces (cloud object storage) and are accessible only to you. We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit (HTTPS) and at rest.

Third-Party Platform Policies

BLASTR integrates with the following third-party platforms. When you connect a platform, you are also subject to that platform's own privacy policy:

• Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Privacy Policy
• Google / YouTube Privacy Policy
• TikTok Privacy Policy
• Stripe Privacy Policy (payment processing)

Data Retention & Deletion

You can disconnect any platform at any time from the Connections screen, which immediately removes the stored access tokens for that platform. You can permanently delete your entire BLASTR account and all associated data from Account Settings → Delete Account, or by emailing [email protected] (processed within 30 days). If you remove BLASTR from your Facebook settings, we automatically delete the Facebook and Instagram data we obtained for that account. See our Data Deletion page for full details.

Children's Privacy

BLASTR is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
